The next time I set up the game for other players will be at a party in mid-May, less than three weeks from now. My wish list for that event includes:
Must Haves
Software
- Rework the ball algorithm.
- Bunts and slow swings absorb energy
- Slower ramping up to high speeds
- Cure false serves
- Finish adding sound effects.
- Implement the big number displays (interface library and game usage).
Hardware
- Big number displays. Can be used as speedometers or for scoring. The design is done, build will start this weekend.
- Fix the LED strips. Cut off the broken one, and get the length up to 1000. I already ordered more strips.
- Upgrade the lights for the sensor system. I’m looking at high power mini LED flashlights for this. Need to buy and test them.
- Sturdy base for the sensor boxes and mic stands. I don’t want them to go out of alignment next time.
- Long wire from control box to LED strips. The control box shouldn’t be next to a batter’s foot.
- Fix broken wires on hand controllers, and settle on using two bats.
- Test on location.
Like To Haves
Software
- Game scoring.
Hardware
- Another rev on the control box will happen at some point. It can be a lot smaller and additional plugs will be needed for the big number displays.
